About Us

About us – We are a family run business and we pride ourselves in providing a friendly personal service to our customers. We use our customers names when completing a job card as we don’t believe in treating you, our customer, as a ticket number. We very much enjoy getting to know you, having a chat and a laugh and this is just one thing that sets us miles apart from our competitors.

About us personally:

Both Max and Andy were working for other companies and one day we thought to ourselves “Why are we working to put money in someone else’s pocket (Max was working for another clothing alteration company and only met the owner ONCE and was sending all the money direct to him in an envelope each week). So we decided to take a gamble and find a shop so we could start working for ourselves. We found one that was perfect in the middle of Chorley town centre (directly opposite Argos) and so it began. We soon decorated the shop, bought the equipment needed from our own savings and opened on 6th June 2012 and have never looked back!

Max has over 26 years experience in altering anything and everything from a dog coat to a 400 year old Knight’s Templar flag but her passion and the vast majority of her experience is with Wedding and Bridesmaid dresses, evening dresses and the like. Whatever the occasion, rest assured knowing that your garment is in very capable hands.

The “boring” side to the business is running it and that’s where Andy comes in, he looks after the financial side, the marketing and designing of adverts etc and when not doing these he can be found on the counter welcoming our customers whilst prepping the garments ready for altering. Some say he can be found working on over-locker and blind hemmer machines in the shop if you’re lucky enough to see this!

Believe us, there truly is no greater satisfaction than seeing our customers walk out of the door happy and smiling!!!
